The Center for Living and Learning is a sanctuary for the mind, body, and soul; a gathering place committed to facilitating well-being of self, society, and the natural world.

Housed within the historic Tudor House located in Stamford, Vermont, with the rolling foothills of the Green Mountains and Mount Greylock as our backdrop, The Tudor House is a sanctuary for the mind, body, soul, and spirit. It is the central gathering space for all of our endeavors. Situated on 9 acres of land dedicated to the promotion of regenerative well-being for individuals, society and the natural world Tudor House is home to organic gardens, a lush pasture, a large barn that houses our animal companions as well as hosted events, and visiting wildlife.

Inhabitants and participants at the Center are committed to the facilitation of meaningful collaboration, sharing a common conviction in truth, beauty, and goodness as foundations for regenerative wellbeing and the protection and preservation of the natural world.

The Center is, first and foremost, a place for transformative learning as such we are always creating opportunities to gather and share ideas and information. Check out our calendar for visiting hours and offerings.

About Tudor House

The Tudor House itself, built circa 1890 by John Tudor, is listed in the Historic Registry of Places. With meticulous attention to detail, the home contains stunning original woodwork throughout. The bedrooms are either en-suite or have their own sitting rooms with views of Mt Greylock in the Berkshires of MA.

The common areas consist of bright, high ceiling gathering spaces containing ornate fireplaces that add to the overall ambiance. The kitchen, dining room, and breakfast nook are perfectly suited for nourishing the body, mind, and soul. Meals are lovingly prepared using organic, locally sourced ingredients.

In addition to being home to the heart of our foundation, we are committed to being a catalyst for community-centric living and well-being. We are happy to provide individual or small group in-house accommodation and gatherings by schedule or application for our members or members of our community. Tudor House is a perfect place for respite, perhaps taking an individual sacred sabbatical or writers retreat, in conjunction with a Farm Stay. It is a place that mends the soul and rejuvenates the spirit.

In addition to individual respite or small group respite, Tudor House and Land are available where appropriate, for use by other like-intended organizations or individuals. We especially love to host small, bespoke gatherings that mark the passage of our lives. Please contact our This email address is being protected from spambots.  “It is essential sometimes to go into retreat, to stop everything that you have been doing, to stop your experiences completely and look at them anew, not keep on repeating them like machines. You would then let fresh air into your mind. Wouldn’t you? This place must be of great beauty with trees, birds, and quietness, for beauty is truth and truth is goodness and love.”
