This introductory course is for people with little or no herbal experience who want to explore the world of herbs and herbal remedies. This course will introduce you to some of the tried and true herb companions, as well as create a framework for understanding how herbs work and how to select and prepare them for maximum benefit. Get into the kitchen and practice whipping up some herbal teas, tinctures, and body care products.

Research suggests that cultivating a diversity of resources and strategies for health enhances an individual's potential for resilience. This introductory course is for people with little or no herbal experience who want to explore the world of herbs and herbal remedies as a means of cultivating higher levels of personal resilience.

Through videos, web conferencing, and active discussion, this course will introduce you to some of the tried and true herb companions, as well as create a framework for understanding how herbs work and how to select and prepare them for maximum benefit. Together we will get into the kitchen and practice whipping up some herbal teas, tinctures, and body care products for your health and well-being.
