T.E.N.D. - Cultivating Resilience for Health and Well-Being

Brief Description: Human resilience is the ability to muster your inner resources in order to ‘bounce back’ from adversity. It is that almost indefinable quality that allows a person, place, or thing to be beaten down by some of the experiences of life, yet come back with the resolve to carry on to bigger and better things.

But resilience isn’t only helpful in situations of adversity. How resilient you are can help you navigate everyday life situations with grace and ease.

The Awareness and Action Project

The purpose of LLR’s Awareness and Action project is to provide research and actionable resources for increased individual and community resilience through the prevention of violence in schools, workplaces, and communities.

This 8-week modular training has been developed to assist in the establishment of new behavioral based competencies for violence prevention and mitigation. Active and applied learning in Bystander Intervention, Situational Awareness, Dynamic Risk Assessment and more are intended to equip participants with tools for positive development and higher levels of resilience.
